About the Project

Activa Pharmacy secured a prime unit at the busy intersection of Fischer Hallman Rd and Ottawa St S for its first location. The space, previously used for retail, needed a complete demolition and medical-grade interior fit-out on a tight five-week timeline.

HI-Performance Construction took on the challenge, navigating a slower-than-usual permit process through persistent follow-up and strategic coordination. Once approvals cleared, we gutted the entire 2,000 sq. ft. interior and rebuilt it to medical facility standards. 

The owner wanted a space that reflected the community and welcomed every patient. To support this vision, we created a bright and welcoming layout with accessible entrances and all the amenities needed for a fully operational pharmacy. We built custom shelving, specialty washrooms, counters, and cash desks, focusing on organization, comfort, and smooth workflow. 

The completed space now operates as a one-stop neighbourhood pharmacy serving Kitchener with virtual consultations, healthcare products, and compounded prescriptions.
