About the Project
DHL, a global leader in shipping and logistics, partnered with HI-Performance Construction to build a next-generation distribution centre for IKEA in Vaughan, Ontario. The goal was to create a 500,000-square-foot facility capable of supporting high-volume logistics and faster product delivery to customers across the province.
Over the course of eight months, our team managed every detail, from design and drawings to permits, demolition, and full interior construction. Working in close collaboration with both DHL and IKEA, we delivered a state-of-the-art, fully operational fulfillment hub built for efficiency, scalability, and safety.
The completed facility now stands as IKEA’s fourth-largest customer distribution centre in Canada, featuring advanced warehouse systems, durable infrastructure, and optimized employee workspaces designed for long-term performance.

Permits & Planning
Prepared drawings and secured all permits on time through consistent coordination with DHL and city inspectors.
